The STAR Method for Behavioural Questions
For "tell me about a time…" questions, structure your answer using STAR so it stays focused and impactful.

Always end on a quantified result — a number, percentage, or saving. It is the single most memorable part of a behavioural answer.
Interview Preparation Checklist
- Research the company — recent projects, sector (buildings, highways, water), and clients. Reference one specifically in your answers.
- Re-read the job description and prepare an example for each key requirement listed.
